Welcome to the 22nd Annual Bakers Dozen Exhibition.
During the last twenty one years a wide selection of leading potters work has been successfully exhibited within the gallery space. The first nine exhibitions took place at the Round House Gallery, Tutbury , with the remaining being held at Foston, Derbyshire.
The 2011 Bakers Dozen brings together a delightful and diverse range of studio ceramics. Alan Birchall, Harriet Coleridge and John Masterton are showing their work for the first time and Jane Ryan will add an extra dimension exhibiting wooden mechanical toys. Anne James exhibits for the fourth time and has made a selection of thirteen smoke fired lustre pieces. It is also the only exhibition she has taken part in during 2011.
This current exhibition has taken just under 15 months to piece together.
I would like to thank all of the 2011 exhibitors for their hard work and a special thanks to the on- going support shown by customers who in some cases have beaten a path to the gallery over many years. As ever there is no pressure to purchase a piece of work but if you feel like taking time out from your busy hi -tech world and to join us in a glass of wine to view some stunning work you will be very welcome.
